Financial Education Classes Offered for 

Youth Grades 4-8

Mad City Money TM is a 21⁄2-hour hands-on simulation that appeals to youth and gives them a taste of the real world—complete with occupation, salary, spouse, student loan debt, credit card debt, and medical insurance payments.

Youth Grades 9-10

“Understanding Taxes” makes real world connections to classroom instruction. It’s a great resource for high schools, community colleges, and the general public for learning more about the history, theory, and application of taxes in the United States.

Money Smart is a financial education program that helps youth (ages 12-20) and adults (in 7 languages) learn the basics of handling their money and finances. Topics include setting financial goals, saving money ,choosing a checking account, making a credit card work for you, paying for college and cars, making decisions about apartments and mortgages, and more.

Youth Grades 11-12CA$H Leadership Program High School Juniors and Seniors are trained and certified as tax preparers and will prepare taxes under the VITA program for the communities low-income, disabled, and senior citizens. Students will also facilitate community service projects while earning community service credit. while
