Abuse Support Groups

Lowndes County

Sexual Assault / Child Abuse

The Haven will be conducting support groups for survivors of sexual assault or child sexual abuse. There will also be a men’s group for men who have experienced sexual assault. These groups are for adult women and men over 17 years of age. It is intended for those who are ready to move from being victims to being survivors.  Those individuals who are interested in one of these groups should plan to attend the complete 12-week process. Once the groups are formed, the day will be Thursdays and the time will be after work 5:30 or 6:30 PM. Participants must complete an initial screening.  Groups are free, confidential, and facilitated by trained professionals. It is not necessary to be a current client of The Haven to participate.
