Meals on Wheels for Seniors, Children and Disasters
GA Foods provides meals funded by charitable organizations and government programs. At this time, we do not sell our service directly to individuals. If you would like for us to keep you informed about possible private pay options, please complete this quick form.
In order to have meals delivered, visit www.eldercare.gov or call 1-800-677-1116.
On the eldercare.gov site, interested individuals can search for services by location based on zip code or city and state. We recommend searching based on zip code, particularly in large metropolitan areas who may be served by multiple agencies. Locate agencies listed in the search results that have “Nutrition Programs” or “Home Delivered Meals” in their description.
Contact those agencies directly and request home delivered meals service from GA Foods.

In need of FOOD?
Living Bridges Ministry is excited about this brand new program where people can work for food! People who need food may get one of these cards from a participating agency (see list below) or from individuals who carry them. The person takes the card and goes to the recycling center where they sort recycling for 5 hours. Then they are given a signed card to take to Park Ave UMC 100 E Park Ave during office hours to get a bag of groceries. A person in need may sort once or as often as they choose. We are distributing these cards to several area agencies. Currently those in need may pick up cards at:
Park Ave United Methodist Church 100 E Park Ave
Great Start Georgia Lowndes 601 N Lee St (Leila Ellis bldg)
Telamon Corporation (Dept of Labor bldg)
Habitat for Humanity 2010 E Cypress St
Present the card at the Valdosta City Public Works office located at 1017 Myrtle Street, Valdosta.
For every day you volunteer a minimum of 5 hours in the recycling center, Park Avenue United Methodist Church will give you 1 bag of groceries.
If you are an individual or a church who would like some cards, please contact Living Bridges Ministry on its Facebook page or www.livingbridgesministry.org.
